To ensure accountability and transparency by preventing fraud, waste, and abuse across all entities, agencies, and programs that receive State education funds. Through innovation, continuous progress, and investment in our workforce, we strive to be a trusted and effective independent investigative agency that promotes positive change.

Mission

To promote accountability, integrity, and transparency across the state’s public education system by conducting independent audits, investigations, and reviews. OIGE aims to identify and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse; ensure compliance with laws and policies; and implement systemic improvements that safeguard education funding.
