Supervisory Inspector General for Investigative Audits

The Investigative Audit Unit (IAU) employs audit techniques and skills to review programs and operations across various departments, including Information Technology, School Operations, Business and Finance, Facilities Services, and special projects such as the School Police, Charter Schools, and Special Education. The IAU also reviews contracts related to statewide activities in procurement and construction. The IAU conducts its investigations in accordance with the Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards.

The Supervisory Inspector General for Investigative Audits reports directly to the Deputy Inspector General. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) serves as the strategic thinker and subject matter expert in investigative audits and related matters within the OIGE. The DIG supervises auditors who conduct reviews of local school system programs, operations, and contracts connected to various statewide activities.
